Yannik was born in Cuxhaven in 1991 and obtained his Abitur in 2011 at the Lichtenberg Gymnasium Cuxhaven. He started studying business chemistry at the CAU Kiel in the same year and joined the Staubitz group in October 2014. For his bachelor thesis, he is currently working on pyrenes for the application in organic electronics.
